This is the genuine Clean Comfort replacement UV-C lamp for the Goodman and Amana UC18S16-24B coil purifier. It's the 16-inch single-ended lamp that drops into that single-lamp UV system.
It runs 254nm UV-C light across the evaporator coil to hold back mold and biofilm on the coil and in the drain pan. Keep the coil clean and the system keeps its capacity and airflow. That's the whole point of coil UV.
Change it once a year. The germicidal output drops off well before the lamp quits glowing, so don't judge it by whether it still lights. Pull power at the disconnect first and never stare at a lit UV-C lamp.
