The Filtrete Ultra Allergen Reduction Deep Pleat filter is built for 4-inch media cabinets, not the thin 1-inch return slot. The deep pleat gives it far more surface area, so it loads up slower and runs longer between changes. It carries a 1550 MPR rating, about MERV 12, and captures pet dander, smoke, bacteria, large allergens like pollen and up to 55% of airborne virus particles.
This is the 20x20x4 size. It fits standard 4-inch media filter cabinets and whole-house air cleaner housings built for that nominal opening.
Plan on a change every 6 to 12 months depending on the home. Pull it at least once a year.
